Think for a moment, why should you clean a computer keyboard? In journal article from site 'Computer Shopper', studies have shown that more bacteria live on each square inch of computer desk than the same area of typical toilet seat. you are probably saying WOW. is it really true? Answer is YES, it's true fact. We use and keep more contact with a keyboard than any of the other part of the computer. A keyboard collects the oil and dirt from our hand, also anything that has spilled onto it.
Before you start cleaning the keyboard, If you haven’t already done so, make sure computer has turned off, and then, unplug the keyboard from the computer.
Now to clean keyboard, first hold your keyboard upside down and shake it gently to remove any crumbs from inside of keyboard.
Second, take a can of compressed air and use it to blow out dust from between the keys.
- Here is a picture of a can call “Dust remover”, costs only around $5 at any electronic retail store, and you can use this product for other electronics as well. To use this can, hold it upward and use it like this to blow out dirt or dust.
Last, gently wipe the keys with a moist anti-bacterial towel or soft, cotton cloth.
